Karting for me has always been something I have wanted to do ever since I was a kid, you know going down the fair playing on the 20mph kids karts as I have heard them called, thinking how wicked it was and how fast I was going, just waiting to beat your father and show him up as much as possible but some how not quite managing to do so, and getting so annoyed that you didn't do it, but my big dream is to some day try and get to Formula
1, which as you know is every racing drivers dream, but doing it and getting there is something else.
I started doing it for a hobby about four years ago and seriously about a year later, and by then I had the bug. From racing my father on fair ground karts, to racing 40mph indoor karts. Indoor karting came as a big success for me and my father, who I had gone into partnership with by this time, at first we did not have much success but getting some good hard racers behind us soon changed all that, we made some friends and formed a kartng team, and then all the fun started. We started going to endurance racers three and a half hour races, six hour races, for a couple of years we had great success but not without a hard time in the process. Once the team had settled down we entered into a twelve hour endurance race for charity with a few problems and breakdowns and twelve hours of hard racing we won, and in good time , as when we crossed the line our kart broke down completely worn out after the hard time we had giving it.
The following year we entered into another race for charity, The Mac-Millian Cancer Fund semi finals, which we had to win to qualify to race in the final, but unfortunately two black flags prevented us for progressing to the final, and totally gutted the whole team. This year how ever we had our revenge, when we entered into the same endurance race against the same teams and won.
